Economic Development

If your community or organization wishes to embark upon Economic Development, look no further for help than with ESU. Ida Scott, the President of ESU has worked as Director of Economic Development for the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL (4 years) and as Manager of the Bridgewater Development Association (14 years), as Economic Development Officer and Executive Director of the 2002 World Youth Sailing (2 years) and as Economic Development and Sponsorship Manager of the 2003 World Theatre and Congress (1.5 years), Regional Coordinator for the Association of Women Business Owners (4 years), Served on the Board of Women’s Economic Equality and Women Unlimited Board for a total of 21 years with 12 years as President.  Ida was also chair of the Lunenburg Development Commission while a Town Councillor for the Town of Lunenburg, for three years. Ida has been carrying out Economic Development work on a micro and macro level for 30 years.
